Hang Tag vs Woven Label: What's the Difference?
Updated
A hang tag is a printed card attached to the outside of a garment with a string or fastener, and it is removed after purchase. A woven label is a fabric label sewn into the garment and stays for its life. Most clothing brands use both: the hang tag sells the garment on the rail, and the woven label identifies it afterwards.

When the hang tag does the work
The hang tag is where a shopper meets your brand before they buy: it carries the price, the size, the fabric story and often a QR code. Because it is printed rather than woven, it can carry full-colour artwork, foil, embossing and much more text — and it can change with every collection without touching the garment.
